Miss Brianna Van Bibber

3rd Grade

Miss Brianna Van Bibber is a graduate of Concordia University, Nebraska, where she earned her Bachelor’s degree in Elementary Education. She began teaching the third grade at Trinity Lutheran in the fall of 2024. While attending college, Miss Van Bibber taught children of a variety of ages at an education center in Seward, Nebraska.

Growing up in Grand Island, Miss Van Bibber always wanted to be a Lutheran school teacher. “I can’t imagine anything better than working in a Christ-centered environment,” she said. “I believe that children are a gift from God. It is our job as adults to nurture their faith and to give them the best opportunities to be successful in life.”

Some of the highlights of the third grade year at Trinity include a field trip to Morrill Hall and a science unit on embryology, during which the students wait for chicken eggs to hatch in the classroom. To cap off the end of the school year, third through fifth grade students attend a track meet competing against the four other Lutheran elementary schools in Lincoln.

Miss Van Bibber strives to keep her students engaged through movement and conversation. “It is important to keep the students involved in their learning each day, from class discussions to getting them up and out of their seats with group collaborations. It takes them from being passive learners to active participants.”

Miss Van Bibber coordinates the Game Club at Trinity Lutheran School, an after school club open to kindergarten through fourth grade students.

In her free time, Miss Van Bibber enjoys playing various sports, including basketball, volleyball, and frisbee golf. She also enjoys line dancing, being outside, and spending time with her family and friends.
