Trinity Lutheran School is committed to providing a learning environment that supports and promotes wellness, good nutrition, and an active lifestyle and recognizes the positive relationship between good nutrition, physical activity and the capacity of students to develop and learn. The entire school environment is aligned with healthy school goals to positively influence students’ beliefs and habits and promote health and wellness, good nutrition and regular physical activity.  In addition, school staff are encouraged to model healthy eating and physical activity as a valuable part of daily life. The 2023 update of our Wellness accomplishments and goals can be viewed below.

Partnership for a Healthy Lincoln

Trinity is working with Partnership for a Healthy Lincoln (PHL) as they develop wellness programming and opportunities for faith-based schools. Several faith-based schools are taking steps to improve the health of their students by incorporating fresh, local produce into their food services and using SPARK (Sports, Play, and Active Recreation for Kids), a physical activity curriculum to increase fitness.
