Trinity Lutheran School seeks to partner with parents and support them in their God-given responsibility to raise their children. We believe each child who enters our building is a precious child of God. We seek to serve the whole child and care for each child’s social, emotional, physical, academic, and spiritual needs.

Trinity Lutheran School is now enrolling for the 2024-2025 school year.  We offer early childhood education classes for toddlers beginning at 18 months, as well as preschool and pre-kindergarten classes.  We also provide quality, Christian education for students in Kindergarten through Grade 5.  Before and after school care is available. We are a partner school with Opportunity Scholarships of Nebraska and tuition assistance is available.  We would love to welcome you to the Trinity Family!

Proven History of Success

Trinity Lutheran School has been serving children and their families for 135 years. The teachers at Trinity represent more than 200 years of teaching experience. Our teachers commit to ongoing professional development and participate in state and national conferences, workshops, webinars, sharing and discussing best practices based on research, and individual reading of current professional articles.

Nationally Accredited

Trinity Lutheran School, Early Childhood Education program, and Summer Camp are accredited through the National Lutheran School Accreditation Commission (NLSA). As part of the NLSA process, a self-study was completed by more than 50 stakeholders including parents, teachers, congregational leaders and members during the 2022-2023 school year. The evidence-based self-study identified areas of strength and opportunities for growth. A school action plan with goals was developed and will be implemented over the next four years. The purpose of the entire accreditation process is to continually improve the educational experience and instruction delivered to our students. Trinity Lutheran School is also a Nebraska State Board of Education approved school.

Fantastic Music Program

Music is important at Trinity and all students attend music and choir. Students are given a chance to share their musical talents at our weekly chapel services, annual musical programs, and occasional special assemblies all of which parents are invited to attend. Students have also performed in the community by singing at local churches and retirement homes, a Lincoln Stars Hockey game, and the Governor’s Christmas Tree Lighting ceremony at the Nebraska State Capitol. In addition, our fourth graders learn to read music by playing recorders while our fifth graders have the option to participate in band.

Award Winning Teachers

Trinity Lutheran School is blessed to have amazing teachers. Our teachers go above and beyond the call of duty every single day. We have three teachers that have won amazing awards in the past years. Miss Candace Jurchen (2018) and Mrs. Stacy Leimbach (2019) both received the Golden Apple Award from 10/11 News. Mrs. Shelia Ziems received the 2019 Teacher of the Year Award from the Bright Lights program. We are so proud of our teachers and appreciate all they do for the students.

Expansive Outdoor Play Spaces

At Trinity we feel letting children fully enjoy God’s creation goes hand-in-hand with indoor learning. Our large playground includes a gaga ball pit, soccer field and blacktop area for basketball along with traditional slides, swings, and climbing equipment. Additionally, we have an expansive toddler play area and an area filled with logs and sticks where many students play creative building games.

We invite you to visit Trinity and find out more about the many programs and events our students and families enjoy each year. We look forward to partnering with parents in developing each child’s individual academic potential while caring for their social, emotional, and spiritual needs.

“Trinity has been like extended family!  The Christian Village that has come alongside us in training our daughters to be life-long followers of Christ.”
