Children in all our classrooms learn about Jesus and follow God’s Word through teachings of the Bible. Daily devotions are a part of our school day, as well as incorporating our faith across our entire curriculum.

Prayers

Each day students participate in prayers. We are so blessed to be able to pray with our students. Students share their cares and concerns and know their teachers and friends pray for them. In addition, students learn many different prayers they can say at school and at home. We pray at the beginning of the day, at meals and snack times, and before the end of the day.

Word of God

Students who attend Trinity study the Old Testament, as well as a walk through the life and teachings of Christ in the New Testament.

Students learn that just as God loved, forgave, and saved His children in the Bible, He loves, forgives, and saves us through the death and resurrection of His Son Jesus.

We also study and celebrate the festivals of the church year such as Christmas, Easter, and the Reformation.

Memory Work

Students in 1st Grade  – 5th Grade are asked to do memory work for each week. Memory work includes daily prayers, Bible passages, hymns, sections from Luther’s Small Catechism including the Ten Commandments, the Apostle’s Creed, the Lord’s Prayer, the Sacrament of Holy Baptism, the Office of the Keys and Confession, and the Sacrament of the Altar.  Musical and chapel presentations are also assigned for memory.

Chapel

Every week all students assemble in the school gym for a weekly chapel service. This service helps students learn various forms of liturgy and songs used in regular worship services. Classes contribute to Chapel services by singing songs they learned in Music class. Parents and friends are invited to attend Chapel as often as possible.
