Mrs. Tori Ramsey

Toddler Teacher

Bumblebee  classroom

Mrs. Tori Ramsey is the lead teacher of Trinity’s younger toddler class, the Bumblebee Room. Before becoming the lead Bumblebee teacher in the autumn of 2026, Mrs. Tori, as her students call her, served for five years as a teacher’s aide in early childhood centers. She has also taught Sunday School for 15 years to children of various age levels.

Working with young children who range in age from 18 to 24 months requires a special skill set and level of understanding. Parents can expect Mrs. Tori “to teach the beginnings of emotional regulation including how to handle big feelings and low impulse control. We also work on gross and fine motor skills as well as fostering independence while being compassionate and loving to each child,” she said.

Making children feel safe and loved is a top goal of Mrs. Tori. “Giving a child a safe space to come and know they are loved is the greatest gift I feel you can give a child. My instruction focus is on grace, just as Christ shows me forgiveness and love each day," she said. "I can only hope to emulate the example Jesus sets before me to have a positive and loving impact on the kids I have the privilege of teaching.”

To keep her students engaged, Mrs. Tori utilizes music, song, and many hands-on experiences. “Children learn through play, so making it fun and active helps keep them engaged,” she said. Keeping the classroom environment stimulating without extensive screen time is a priority. “I pride myself on trying to be low tech and sensory rich at the toddler age. Having a cozy corner dedicated to reading and learning how to calm our bodies has been incredibly important for the littles in a fast-paced world.”

Mrs. Tori is married to her husband Stephen. They are the parents to three children who attend Trinity Lutheran School. The family enjoys visiting farmers’ markets, libraries, museums, zoos and camping. Mrs. Tori also enjoys exploring new food experiences, cooking, and travel.
