Mrs. Stacy Leimbach is entering her 21st year of teaching Kindergarten at Trinity Lutheran School after earning her Bachelor’s Degree in Elementary Education from Concordia University in Seward, Nebraska.
Mrs. Leimbach loves the energy that Kindergartners bring to her class and she structures her lessons to actively engage her young students in the learning process. “I'm fueled by excited students eager to learn. I love to laugh with my students and show them my silly side,” she said. She works hard to make each student feel at ease in the school setting, whether they attended pre-kindergarten or they are completely new to the school setting.
Some highlights of the Kindergarten year with Mrs. Leimbach include a field trip to a local pumpkin patch and attending a show at the Lied Center. Kindergartners also partner with fifth grade “buddies” for reading projects and other fun learning activities.
In addition to teaching her class the foundations of handwriting, math, and reading skills, Mrs. Leimbach strives to help her students develop a personal relationship with Jesus and Christian values. “I hope they all become young people who prioritize integrity and kindness,” she said. She also strives to have open communication with the families of her students. “Kindergarten parents and students can expect me to be honest. I will love them and encourage them each day. I will support them in their joys and walk with them in their challenges,” she said.
Mrs. Leimbach is not only a teacher at Trinity, but an alumni too! She is the mother to three young-adult daughters. She enjoys supporting Husker volleyball, going on walks, and spending time with her family.
