Mrs. Stacy Leimbach
Kindergarten Teacher: My name is Stacy Leimbach and I am the Kindergarten Teacher at Trinity Lutheran School. I am married to Jason and we have three daughters, Hope (16), Kate (13), and Keri (9). I have worked at Trinity Lutheran School for 17 years. When I am not teaching I coach volleyball and spend time with my family and friends.

Ms. Bonnie Naber
1st Grade Teacher: My name is Miss Naber and I am the 1st grade teacher at Trinity Lutheran School. I have worked at Trinity for 39 years. I am the second oldest of six children. My three brothers, two sisters and I grew up on a farm near Waco, Nebraska. My three nephews and two nieces have also enjoyed experiencing life on this farm as have many classes of first graders. I also have five great nephews and one great niece. In my free time I like to garden and read.
My favorite Bible verse is “And we know that for those who love God all things work together for good” Romans 8:28.
Ms. Candace Jurchen
2nd and 3rd Grade Teacher: My name is Candace Jurchen and I teach 2nd-3rd grade, and Music at Trinity Lutheran School. I am originally from Northern Minnesota. My parents now live in Washington State. I have two older brothers and a younger sister. I have been teaching at Trinity Lutheran School for 13 years. I enjoy reading while listening to music, especially film scores! If I can find the time, I also like playing piano.
My favorite Bible Verse is “But they who wait upon the Lord shall renew their strength; they shall mount up with wings as eagles; they shall run and not be weary; they shall walk and not faint.” Isaiah 40:31.
Ms. Crystal Burgess
4th Grade Teacher: My name is Crystal Burgess and I am the fourth grade teacher at Trinity Lutheran School. I received my Elementary Education degree from Concordia University in Seward, Nebraska. I am originally from Minden, Nebraska. I enjoy being able to visit my mom and grandparents who still live there. My significant other, Tom, lives here in Lincoln. We have two dogs, a black lab named Lila and a rescue greyhound named Bella. We enjoy sporting events and cheering on the Huskers! This is my second year at Trinity Lutheran School. I have been teaching in Lutheran Schools for twenty years. I have taught in the Chicago area and Phoenix. I enjoy attending sporting events and playing volleyball and softball whenever I get the opportunity. I'm involved in the Lutheran Comfort Dog Program as well. Our church and school have a comfort dog named Priscilla and I spend time as a handler taking her to different community events and working with her at school to comfort those who may have a heavy burden.

Mrs. Karissa Heun
5th Grade Teacher: My name is Karissa Heun and I am the fifth grade teacher at Trinity Lutheran School. I have been married to my husband Ryan since 2013 and we have been living in Lincoln since then. I have worked at Trinity Lutheran School for four years. I enjoy spending time with my family and coaching volleyball in my free time.

Mrs. Sheila Ziems
Team Teacher: My name is Sheila Ziems and I am a Team Teacher at Trinity Lutheran School. I have been at Trinity for 19 years. I taught 6th grade at Trinity for 9 years before my 3 kids were born. I returned as Team Teacher when my youngest went to 1st grade. . I am currently Team Teacher for 2nd/3rd Grade. I also teach Spanish and Math for 4th and 5th grade. My husband Lyle Ziems is a teacher at Lincoln Lutheran. I have three children. My son, Caleb, is a freshman at Emory University, in Atlanta, GA. My daughter, Rebecca is a junior at Lincoln Lutheran and my daughter Rachel is a sophomore at Lincoln Lutheran. In my free time I enjoy scrapbooking, tennis, and reading.
My favorite Bible passage has always been Romans 8:38-39. It is timeless. No matter what is going on in my life...he will NEVER forsake me.
Mrs. Jennifer Obrist
Toddlers (Bumble Bee): My name is Jennifer Obrist and I am the Bumble Bee Toddler Teacher. My wonderful husband, Dave works for RHD which is a company that works with older adults with special needs. My mom Susan Boeschen works at Trinity Lutheran School and my dad Dennis works at Duncan. My brother, Hans works in private school in South Carolina with his wife, Lou. My sister, Emilia works as a professor at Black Hills State University in South Dakota and her husband, Mark is in school working on his engineering degree and does construction work. I have worked at Trinity Lutheran School for over 10 years and this is my first year as a Toddler Teacher. When I am not working I enjoy water color painting or drawing and hanging out with my friends.

Mrs. Lori Sunderman
Toddler Aide: My name is Lori Sunderman and I am the Teacher’s Aide for the Toddler Rooms. My husband Greg and I have a son, Samuel who is a 5th Grader at Trinity Lutheran School. I have worked at Trinity Lutheran School for 6 months, but have volunteered and been part of the Trinity Family since Sam has been in school. During my free time I enjoy crocheting, reading, and baking.

Preschool: My name is Connie Dirks and I am the Preschool Teacher at Trinity Lutheran School. I have been married to my husband, Keith for 35 years. We have four children, Seth, Noah (wife Amy and Grandson Jacob), Christina, and Jessica (husband, Travis and grandson, Truett). This is my 20th year at Trinity Lutheran School. During my free time I enjoy doing crafts and reading.

Mrs. Amber Christensen
Pre-Kindergarten: My name is Amber Christensen and I am the Pre-Kindergarten Teacher at Trinity Lutheran School. I started at Trinity Lutheran School in Aug. of 1999, so the 2016-17 school year is my 18th year. My husband Dan and I have four children, Dylan (almost 14), Karsyn (8), Kaylee (6), and Avery (3). When I am not teaching, I enjoy attending my kids’ activities.

Mrs. Steph Trutna
Pre-Kindergarten Aid: My name is Steph Trutna and I am a Teacher’s Aide in the Pre-Kindergarten Room. My husband Derek and I have two children, daughter Paige (9th grade at Lincoln Lutheran) and son Quinn (5th Grade) at Trinity. I have worked at Trinity Lutheran School for one year, but I have been a volunteer and a helper in many roles for 10 years. When I am not working at Trinity I enjoy volleyball and making photo albums.

Mr. David Kumm
Principal: My name is Mr. David Kumm and I am the Principal at Trinity Lutheran School. This is my first year at Trinity. I am married to Sarah Kumm who also works at Trinity as an Aide in the Pre-Kindergarten Room. Together we have two children who attend Trinity. Our son, Trenton is in 5th Grade and our daughter, Taryn is in 1st Grade. I enjoy watching, coaching, officiating, and playing sports in my free time.

Mrs. Mellisa Green
Childcare Director: My name is Melissa Green and I am the Childcare Director at Trinity Lutheran School. I have been at Trinity Lutheran School for eight years. My husband, JaThi, and I have a daughter, Jayla (6 yrs), and a son, Jaiden (2 yrs). Both of them attend Trinity! I love to play and watch volleyball, spend time with my family, go to dinner with friends, and shop.

Mrs. Kendra Kristalyn
Administrative Assistant/Admissions: My name is Kendra Kristalyn and I am the Administrative Assistant at Trinity Lutheran School. This is my first year at Trinity, but having been fortunate enough to attend a Lutheran elementary school growing up, this transition has felt a bit like coming home. My husband, Matt, is a teacher at Lincoln Lutheran and we have two sons, Finn (6) and Ezra (3). Finn and Ezra will be joining me at Trinity this year and they cannot wait to get started! I enjoy crafting with the boys, baking, reading, going on road trips and being outside.

Mr. Todd Chase
Properties Manager: My name is Todd Chase and I am the Property Manager for Trinity Lutheran Church and School. I had a great upbringing by my parents Ray and Eileen Chase. I have two older sisters, Jayne and Kelli and one younger sister Tina. I am blessed to be the father of Cody, Andrea, and Noah. I have worked for Trinity Lutheran Church and School for 11 years. In my free time I enjoy traveling, fishing and watching sporting events.

Mrs. Kara Danforth
Recruitment and Marketing Coordinator: My name is Kara Danforth and I am the Recruitment and Marketing Coordinator at Trinity Lutheran School. I have been in my current position at Trinity Lutheran School for almost 6 months and a proud Trinity Lutheran School Parent for almost two years! My husband John and I have a little girl named Lilly who attends Trinity’s Early Childhood Program. I love to spend time with my family and friends, and playing with my pets.
