Miss Taeva Hoppe
Kindergarten Teacher: My name is Taeva Hoppe and I will be the new kindergarten teacher at Trinity this year! I cannot express to you all how excited I am for my first year here at Trinity. God certainly has a plan for me and I couldn’t be more thrilled! I graduated from Concordia University, Seward, NE this past May. I am very passionate about my faith and teaching! And I feel so incredibly blessed that at Trinity I can use both of my passions at the same time! I can’t wait to meet each and every one of my students and their parents. Mrs. Stacy Leimbach
Kindergarten Teacher: My name is Stacy Leimbach and I am the Kindergarten Teacher at Trinity Lutheran School. I am married to Jason and we have three daughters, Hope (16), Kate (13), and Keri (9). I have worked at Trinity Lutheran School for 17 years. When I am not teaching I coach volleyball and spend time with my family and friends.

Ms. Bonnie Naber
1st Grade Teacher: My name is Miss Naber and I am the 1st grade teacher at Trinity Lutheran School. I have worked at Trinity for 39 years. I am the second oldest of six children. My three brothers, two sisters and I grew up on a farm near Waco, Nebraska. My three nephews and two nieces have also enjoyed experiencing life on this farm as have many classes of first graders. I also have five great nephews and one great niece. In my free time I like to garden and read.

Ms. Candace Jurchen
2nd Grade Teacher: My name is Candace Jurchen and I teach 2nd Grade, and Music at Trinity Lutheran School. I am originally from Northern Minnesota. My parents now live in Washington State. I have two older brothers and a younger sister. I have been teaching at Trinity Lutheran School for 15 years. I enjoy reading while listening to music, especially film scores! If I can find the time, I also like playing piano.

Ms. Crystal Burgess
3rd Grade Teacher: My name is Crystal Burgess and I am the third grade teacher at Trinity Lutheran School. I received my Elementary Education degree from Concordia University in Seward, Nebraska. I am originally from Minden, Nebraska. I enjoy being able to visit my mom and grandparents who still live there. My significant other, Tom, lives here in Lincoln. We have two dogs, a black lab named Lila and a rescue greyhound named Bella. We enjoy sporting events and cheering on the Huskers! This is my second year at Trinity Lutheran School. I have been teaching in Lutheran Schools for twenty years. I have taught in the Chicago area and Phoenix. I enjoy attending sporting events and playing volleyball and softball whenever I get the opportunity. I'm involved in the Lutheran Comfort Dog Program as well. Our church and school have a comfort dog named Priscilla and I spend time as a handler taking her to different community events and working with her at school to comfort those who may have a heavy burden.

Miss Rachel Hoffman
4th & 5th Grade Teacher: My name is Miss Rachel Hoffman. I graduated in May from the University of Nebraska- Lincoln with a degree in elementary education. I did my student teaching in a fourth grade classroom, and I am excited to begin my teaching career in a fourth grade classroom as well. I can’t wait to get to know my students and the families at Trinity, and I am looking forward to a great first year as an elementary school teacher.
Mrs. Karissa Heun
4th & 5th Grade Teacher: My name is Karissa Heun and I am a fourth and fifth grade teacher at Trinity Lutheran School. I have been married to my husband Ryan since 2013 and we have been living in Lincoln since then. I have worked at Trinity Lutheran School for four years. I enjoy spending time with my family and coaching volleyball in my free time.

Mrs. Renae Lebo
Computer & Technology Teacher:
My name is Renae Lebo and I joined the Trinity Lutheran staff and family as a part-time Computer Teacher in the fall of 2016. I previously taught at Lincoln Lutheran from 1999-2002 before staying at home to raise my boys. I am married to Travis and we have two children, Tanner and Logan, who both attend Lincoln Lutheran.I graduated from Concordia University in Seward where I played volleyball and ran track. I am originally from Linn, Kansas.
One of my favorite Bible verses is Romans 8:38-39. “ For I am convinced that neither death nor life, neither angels nor demons, neither the present nor the future, nor any powers, neither height nor depth, nor anything else in all creation, will be able to separate us from the love of God that is in Christ Jesus our Lord.”
Mrs. Sheila Ziems
Team Teacher: My name is Sheila Ziems and I am a Team Teacher at Trinity Lutheran School. I have been at Trinity for 19 years. I taught 6th grade at Trinity for 9 years before my 3 kids were born. I returned as Team Teacher when my youngest went to 1st grade. . I am currently Team Teacher for 2nd Grade. I also teach Spanish and Math for 4th and 5th grade. My husband Lyle Ziems is a teacher at Lincoln Lutheran. I have three children. My son, Caleb, is a freshman at Emory University, in Atlanta, GA. My daughter, Rebecca is a junior at Lincoln Lutheran and my daughter Rachel is a sophomore at Lincoln Lutheran. In my free time I enjoy scrapbooking, tennis, and reading.

Mrs. Jennifer Obrist
Toddlers (Bumble Bee): My name is Jennifer Obrist and I am the Bumble Bee Toddler Teacher. My wonderful husband, Dave works for RHD which is a company that works with older adults with special needs. My mom Susan Boeschen works at Trinity Lutheran School and my dad Dennis works at Duncan. My brother, Hans works in private school in South Carolina with his wife, Lou. My sister, Emilia works as a professor at Black Hills State University in South Dakota and her husband, Mark is in school working on his engineering degree and does construction work. I have worked at Trinity Lutheran School for over 10 years and this is my first year as a Toddler Teacher. When I am not working I enjoy water color painting or drawing and hanging out with my friends.

Mrs. Susan Boeschen
Bumblebee Toddler Aide: My name is Susan Boeschen. I was the Toddler teacher for over 20 years at Trinity Lutheran School and am now semi-retired as an aide with the toddlers. Graduated with a BA at Emporia State in Elem. Ed. and took grad classes at Concordia in Seward.

Mrs. Margeaux Maul
Bumblebee Toddler Head Teacher: My name is Margeaux Maul. This is my 6th year at Trinity! My husbands name is Grant and we have two children. Koston is a 7th grader at Lincoln Lutheran and Ruby is in Kindergarten at Trinity. I am also a Licensed Massage Therapist and work part-time doing that.

Butterfly Toddler Aide: My name is Lori Sunderman and I am the Teacher’s Aide for the Toddler Rooms. My husband Greg and I have a son, Samuel who is a 5th Grader at Trinity Lutheran School. I have worked at Trinity Lutheran School for 6 months, but have volunteered and been part of the Trinity Family since Sam has been in school. During my free time I enjoy crocheting, reading, and baking.

Mrs. Connie Dirks
Preschool: My name is Connie Dirks and I am the Preschool Teacher at Trinity Lutheran School. I have been married to my husband, Keith for 35 years. We have four children, Seth, Noah (wife Amy and Grandson Jacob), Christina, and Jessica (husband, Travis and grandson, Truett). This is my 20th year at Trinity Lutheran School. During my free time I enjoy doing crafts and reading.

Miss Andrea Chase
Preschool Aide: My name is Andrea Chase. I started attending Trinity for Pre-K and I continued my education here until the 5th grade. I started working at Trinity the summer of 2014 and have been working here since! I graduated from Southeast high school in 2015. I recently graduated from UNL with degree in Advertisement and Public Relations with an emphasis in Interior Design and Hospitality, Restaurant, and Tourism Management.

Miss Emma Schmeling
Preschool Aide: My name is Emma Schmeling. I graduated from Lincoln Lutheran in 2014. I have been teaching dance at CK Dance Academy since 2015. I have been working at Trinity for two years as a Preschool Aide.

Mrs. Amber Christensen
Pre-Kindergarten: My name is Amber Christensen and I am the Pre-Kindergarten Teacher at Trinity Lutheran School. I started at Trinity Lutheran School in Aug. of 1999, so the 2016-17 school year is my 18th year. My husband Dan and I have four children, Dylan (almost 14), Karsyn (8), Kaylee (6), and Avery (3). When I am not teaching, I enjoy attending my kids’ activities.

Mrs. Sarah Kumm
Pre-Kindergarten Aide: My name is Sarah Kumm and I am a Pre-Kindergarten Aide. I was born and raised in Lakewood, CO, and am a huge Broncos fan! I have a brother and sister who are younger than me, and we all went to the same Lutheran grade school. My husband, David, is the Principal at Trinity, and we have two children, Trenton and Taryn.

Miss Mikayla Higgins
Pre-Kindergarten Aide: My name is Mikayla Higgins and I am a Pre-Kindergarten Aide. I graduated from Lincoln Lutheran in 2013. I then continued on to Doan and Concordia University in Seward where I graduated with a BA in Psychology and Behavioral Science. I will continue on to get my Master’s Degree in Speech Pathology. I have worked at Trinity Lutheran School for six years!

Miss Allison Schmeling
Pre-Kindergarten Aide: My name is Allison Schmeling and I am a Pre-Kindergarten Aide. I graduated from Lincoln Lutheran in 2010. I went to the University of Nebraska in Lincoln. I graduated in 2014 with a Fisheries and Wildlife Degree and minors in Animal Science & Education. I started working at Trinity in 2011.

Mr. Nate Kobus
Pre-Kindergarten Aide: My name is Nate Kobus. I am 21 years old. I am studying Biochemistry/Pre-Med and I am Minoring in Math, Chemistry and Leadership at UNL. I am from Lincoln and I have always lived here. I have one sister. I enjoy all sports, specifically the Patriots, Royals, and Huskers.

Mrs. Steph Trutna
Pre-Kindergarten Aide: My name is Steph Trutna and I am an Teacher’s Aide in the Pre-Kindergarten Room. My husband Derek and I have two children, daughter Paige and son Quinn. I have worked at Trinity Lutheran School for three years, but I have been a volunteer and a helper in many roles for 13 years. When I am not working at Trinity I enjoy volleyball and making photo albums.

Pastor Dan Wing
Pastor Wing: I was born in Milwaukee, WI. My parents sacrificed so that my older brother and I could attend Lutheran grade school. After my 8th grade year my family and I moved to Kalispell, MT. It was as a sophomore in high school that I realized I wanted to be a pastor. I attended Concordia University in Seward, NE between 1997 and 2002. I met my wife, Sara in 1997. We were married in June of 2000. I attended the seminary in St. Louis between 2002 and 2006. We have a daughter, Katie (01), a son, Matt (04), and another son, Andy (06). I have served Trinity Lutheran in Navasota, TX (1 year), Immanuel Lutheran in Sweet Springs, MO (11 years) and Trinity Lutheran Lincoln, NE (<1 year). I am blessed far more than I could ever deserve.

Mr. David Kumm
Principal: My name is Mr. David Kumm and I am the Principal at Trinity Lutheran School. This is my first year at Trinity. I am married to Sarah Kumm who also works at Trinity as an Aide in the Pre-Kindergarten Room. Together we have two children who attend Trinity. Our son, Trenton is in 5th Grade and our daughter, Taryn is in 1st Grade. I enjoy watching, coaching, officiating, and playing sports in my free time.

Childcare Director: My name is Melissa Green and I am the Childcare Director at Trinity Lutheran School. I have been at Trinity Lutheran School for eight years. My husband, JaThi, and I have a daughter, Jayla (6 yrs), and a son, Jaiden (2 yrs). Both of them attend Trinity! Mrs. Kendra Kristalyn
Administrative Assistant: My name is Kendra Kristalyn and I am the Administrative Assistant at Trinity Lutheran School. This is my first year at Trinity, but having been fortunate enough to attend a Lutheran elementary school growing up, this transition has felt a bit like coming home. My husband, Matt, is a teacher at Lincoln Lutheran and we have two sons, Finn (6) and Ezra (3). Finn and Ezra will be joining me at Trinity this year and they cannot wait to get started! I enjoy crafting with the boys, baking, reading, going on road trips and being outside.

Mrs. Kara Danforth
Recruitment and Marketing Coordinator: My name is Kara Danforth and I am the Recruitment and Marketing Coordinator at Trinity Lutheran School. I have been in my current position at Trinity Lutheran School for almost 6 months and a proud Trinity Lutheran School Parent for almost two years! Properties Manager: My name is Jesse Soenksen and I am the Properties Manager for Trinity Lutheran Church and School. I am the oldest of nine kids, I love playing soccer (most notably with my family), being outdoors, going on road trips, working on cars, and just spending time with my family.
