Mrs. Jennifer Obrist
Toddlers (Bumble Bee): My name is Jennifer Obrist and I am the Bumble Bee Toddler Teacher. My wonderful husband, Dave works for RHD which is a company that works with older adults with special needs. My mom Susan Boeschen works at Trinity Lutheran School and my dad Dennis works at Duncan. My brother, Hans works in private school in South Carolina with his wife, Lou. My sister, Emilia works as a professor at Black Hills State University in South Dakota and her husband, Mark is in school working on his engineering degree and does construction work. I have worked at Trinity Lutheran School for over 10 years and this is my first year as a Toddler Teacher. When I am not working I enjoy water color painting or drawing and hanging out with my friends.

Bumblebee Toddler Aide: My name is Cassie Uhrich.I have 4 kids: Keyden, Rylen, Klara, and Camilla.

Mrs. Susan Boeschen
Bumblebee Toddler Aide: My name is Susan Boeschen. I was the Toddler teacher for over 20 years at Trinity Lutheran School and am now semi-retired as an aide with the toddlers. Graduated with a BA at Emporia State in Elem. Ed. and took grad classes at Concordia in Seward.
My favorite Bible verse is: “Let the little children come to me" Matthew 19:14.
Mrs. Margeaux Maul
Toddlers (Butterfly): My name is Margeaux Maul. This is my 6th year at Trinity! My husbands name is Grant and we have two children. Koston is a 7th grader at Lincoln Lutheran and Ruby is in Kindergarten at Trinity. I am also a Licensed Massage Therapist and work part-time doing that.

Mrs. Lori Sunderman
Toddler Aide: My name is Lori Sunderman. I moved to Lincoln from Norfolk NE in 2011, when my husband, Greg, was offered a job. I am in my 4th year as a teacher's aide at Trinity. Prior to working at Trinity, I volunteered here numerous hours helping with fund raising, PTL, the school library and elsewhere, while my son, Samuel, attended Trinity from Kindergarten through 5th grade. He currently attends Lincoln Lutheran.

Miss Ashley Gaines
Butterfly Toddler Aide: My name is Ashley Gaines.I’m from Lincoln, Nebraska. I am a junior marketing major at UNL.

Mrs. Connie Dirks
Preschool: My name is Connie Dirks. I have been married to Keith for 38 years. We have 4 children. Our son, Noah and his wife Amy have a son named Jacob with another due in January 2019. My daughter, Christina recently married Cody Evasco. Our daughter Jessica is married to Travis and they have two children named Truett and River. We also have a son named Seth. I attended Trinity Lutheran School in Lincoln from 1st grade to 6th.

Miss Andrea Chase
Preschool Aide: My name is Andrea Chase. I started attending Trinity for Pre-K and I continued my education here until the 5th grade. I started working at Trinity the summer of 2014 and have been working here since! I graduated from Southeast high school in 2015. I recently graduated from UNL with degree in Advertisement and Public Relations with an emphasis in Interior Design and Hospitality, Restaurant, and Tourism Management.

Miss Emma Schmeling
Preschool Aide: My name is Emma Schmeling. I graduated from Lincoln Lutheran in 2014. I have been teaching dance at CK Dance Academy since 2015. I have been working at Trinity for two years as a Preschool Aide.
My favorite Bible verse is “Though the mountains be shaken and the hills be removed, yet my unfailing love for you will not be shaken nor my covenant of peace be removed says the Lord, who as compassion on you” Isaiah 54:10.
Mrs. Amber Christensen
Pre-Kindergarten: My name is Amber Christensen and I am the Pre-Kindergarten Teacher at Trinity Lutheran School. I started at Trinity Lutheran School in Aug. of 1999. My husband Dan and I have four children, Dylan, Karsyn, Kaylee, and Avery.

Miss Mikayla Higgins
Pre-Kindergarten Aide: My name is Mikayla Higgins and I am a Pre-Kindergarten Aide. I graduated from Lincoln Lutheran in 2013. I then continued on to Doan and Concordia University in Seward where I graduated with a BA in Psychology and Behavioral Science. I will continue on to get my Master’s Degree in Speech Pathology. I have worked at Trinity Lutheran School for six years!

Mr. Nate Kobus
Pre-Kindergarten Aide: My name is Nate Kobus. I am 21 years old. I am studying Biochemistry/Pre-Med and I am Minoring in Math, Chemistry and Leadership at UNL. I am from Lincoln and I have always lived here. I have one sister. I enjoy all sports, specifically the Patriots, Royals, and Huskers.

Mrs. Sarah Kumm
Pre-Kindergarten Aide: My name is Sarah Kumm and I am a Pre-Kindergarten Aide. I was born and raised in Lakewood, CO, and am a huge Broncos fan! I have a brother and sister who are younger than me, and we all went to the same Lutheran grade school. My husband, David, is the Principal at Trinity, and we have two children, Trenton and Taryn.
My favorite Bible verse is, "The Lord is good, a refuge in times of trouble, He cares for those who trust in Him" Nahum 1:7.
Miss Allison Schmeling
Pre-Kindergarten Aide: My name is Allison Schmeling and I am a Pre-Kindergarten Aide. I graduated from Lincoln Lutheran in 2010. I went to the University of Nebraska in Lincoln. I graduated in 2014 with a Fisheries and Wildlife Degree and minors in Animal Science & Education. I started working at Trinity in 2011.
I have two favorite Bible Verses. “ For I know the plans I have for you, declares the Lord, plans for welfare and not for evil, to give you a future and a hope.” Jeremiah 29:11. “The Lord is my light and my salvation; whom shall I fear? The Lord is the stronghold of my life; of whom shall I be afraid?” Psalm 27:1
Mrs. Steph Trutna
Pre-Kindergarten Aid: I am a Teacher’s Aide in the Pre-Kindergarten Room. My husband Derek and I have two children, daughter, Paige and son, Quinn who both attend Lincoln Lutheran. I attended UNL. I was a stay at home mom when my children were younger.. I have worked at Trinity Lutheran School for three years, but I have been a volunteer and a helper in many roles for 14 years. I am also responsible for the Trinity Lutheran School SCRIP program.

Pastor Dan Wing
Pastor Wing: I was born in Milwaukee, WI. My parents sacrificed so that my older brother and I could attend Lutheran grade school. After my 8th grade year my family and I moved to Kalispell, MT. It was as a sophomore in high school that I realized I wanted to be a pastor. I attended Concordia University in Seward, NE between 1997 and 2002. I met my wife, Sara in 1997. We were married in June of 2000. I attended the seminary in St. Louis between 2002 and 2006. We have a daughter, Katie (01), a son, Matt (04), and another son, Andy (06). I have served Trinity Lutheran in Navasota, TX (1 year), Immanuel Lutheran in Sweet Springs, MO (11 years) and Trinity Lutheran Lincoln, NE (<1 year). I am blessed far more than I could ever deserve.

Mrs. Melissa Green
Childcare Director: My name is Melissa Green. I am in my 10th year at Trinity. I graduated from the University of Nebraska in 2005 with a degree in Early Childhood/Child Development. I then received my Masters in Education with an emphasis in Early Childhood Education from Concordia University, Seward in 2014. My husband, Ja’Thi, and I have a daughter, Jayla, and a son, Jaiden. I am an alumnus of Trinity and Lincoln Lutheran.

Mr. David Kumm
Principal: My name is David Kumm. I am proud to be husband to Sarah, father to Trenton and Taryn, and Principal at Trinity Lutheran School. I grew up on a farm just north of Osmond, NE, attended Lutheran grade school, public high school, and Concordia-Seward. I have served in Lutheran schools since 2002. I enjoy sports and stay active as a coach and basketball official; and I am a huge Husker fan and as a family, we enjoy the outdoors We consider ourselves blessed to be part of the faith family here at Trinity.
Favorite Bible Verse: A few of my favorite Bible verses are Philippians 3:12-14 (confirmation verse), Ezra 10:4, and John 14:27.
Mrs. Kendra Kristalyn
Administrative Assistant: My name is Kendra Kristalyn. I was raised on a farm outside of Deshler, NE and attended Concordia University in Seward, NE. My husband, Matt, and I lived in South Dakota for a time, but are now very happy to be living in Seward again. We have two sons, Finn and Ezra, who definitely keep us on our toes. Matt teaches English and Christian Ethics at Lincoln Lutheran. The boys and I have only been at Trinity a short time, but we feel blessed beyond measure to get to be a part of this family.

Priscilla Comfort Dog
Comfort Dog: My name is Priscilla Comfort Dog. I came to Trinity Lutheran Church and School a couple of years ago. I live with Mrs. Carolyn Jones. I love working and comforting at Trinity Lutheran Church and School and around the Lincoln community.
My favorite Bible verse is, “the Lord appeared to him[a] from far away. I have loved you with an everlasting love; therefore I have continued my faithfulness to you” Jeremiah 31:3.
Mrs. Kara Danforth
Recruitment and Marketing Coordinator: My name is Kara Danforth. I am originally from Hastings, Nebraska. I have my Bachelor’s Degree in Marketing and Public Relations from Midland Lutheran College (now Midland University) and my Master’s Degree in Leadership and Higher Education from Upper Iowa University. My husband, John and I have a daughter named Lillian. Lillian has attended Trinity since she was 18 months old and has loved it. In our spare time we enjoy going on trips as a family and exploring different parts of Nebraska and different festivals. We also are huge animal lovers. We have a dog, a cat and a fish.

Mr. Jesse Soenksen
Properties Manager: My name is Jesse Soenksen and I am the Properties Manager for Trinity Lutheran Church and School. I am the oldest of nine kids, I love playing soccer (most notably with my family), being outdoors, going on road trips, working on cars, and just spending time with my family.
